Performance:

    I play jazz, blues and American Songbook standards as concert or background music for public events, private parties, corporate events and weddings.

    Vocal accompaniment, specializing in Great American Songbook, classic pop and original  tunes.

    I provide classical piano for wedding ceremonies.

    Solo piano or any combination of instruments up to a quintet, with or without a vocalist.

    I have a professional-quality electric keyboard and PA system if there is no piano on-site.

    Price varies depending on the day of the week and length of the event. Please write or call for more information.

Transcription and notation:

    I transcribe existing songs or your original demos and render them in professional computer notation. Transcription is $40 per three minutes of music (melody and chord symbols). Lead sheets are $30 per six-staff page, e-mailed as a pdf. The “Compositions” page on this site has some examples of finished lead sheets.

Arrangement and recording of backing tracks and original songs

    I arrange songs and provide MIDI/digital audio backing tracks for vocalists.

Teaching:

    I have twenty years of experience teaching improvisation, accompaniment, and music theory in jazz, rock and pop styles. Lessons are $75/hour, done in person or through Skype.
